Cwyn makes Lt. Commander

(Just geeking out a little bit)

It all started with a distress call from the medical ship, USS Eagle. Cwyn’s ship, the USS Menlo Park, arrived on scene to find they were under attack by a small pack of Klingon ships. The first ship the Menlo Park engaged was a Klingon K’T’inga class cruiser. A pursuit around an asteroid field ensued.

Leaving the asteroid field was the nail in the coffin for the K’T’inga. With that, the Menlo Park then moved onto the B’rel class Birds of Prey. The USS Eagle’s warp core had been breached and they were venting plasma.

After dispatching the Birds of Prey, Cwyn lead an Away Team onto the Eagle to handle the Klingon boarding party. The Eagle is strictly a medical ship and they were not equipped to handle an armed incursion by the Klingons.

The Klingons were dispatched and the Away Team found the doctors of the Eagle holed up in a shuttle craft with their equipment. They were ready to blast through the shuttle bay door to escape the Klingons. After saving the day, Cwyn was recommended for promotion. Ensign Terria was also promoted to lieutenant.

Tomorrow Cwyn will get to pick out a new (Tier 2) ship.

This is Cwyn’s first real science vessel, an experimental mix between an Aurora class and Nova class starship designs, the U.S.S. Stardust - NX-910124. At about half the size of the famous U.S.S. Voyager, the Stardust reigns in at 222m in length and commands a crew of 100. Most of her equipment is Mk II, but she also sports enhanced Mk III Combat Impulse Engines and enhanced Mk III Regenerative Shields.

Nice ship! Though I may just be sayingt hat because I think I happened to pick the same configuration.

They might be able to carry more crew if they didn’t have all those vaulted ceilings and cathedral-sized rooms.

Nice pics and I digg the Heavy Escort. I’m only LTC3 and I’m not sure what I’ll go with once I hit Capt, due to the fact I may lean towards the Assault Cruiser path. Right now I have both a Cruiser and Escort. The Cruiser is fun but I love the escort.

I made the mistake of going into Cardi territory. Three shots from Jem’Hdar ships finished me off in my light cruiser. Won’t be doing that again anytime soon:eek:

BTW Conrats on your upgrade. Still climbing my way up. Waiting to get to Lt cmd to get me a new ship. I am having fun upgrading the light cruiser. MKII torps and combat impulse engines. Thing is now I’m getting things for the next upgrade and can’t use it yet. So close yet soo far.

If any of you are on the ship is Damecles. Commanded Lt10 Orion Pax (I know I know real original. Had a great time tying in TOS Bread and Circuses into the bio.)

Congrats!!! I haven’t reached Lt. Commander yet but I’m working on it. :slight_smile: Very cool ship. I hope to see you out in the galaxy sometime.

I’m Lt.4 (or 5 I can’t remember this morning) Ada Swift of the USS Glorious Dawn. I’m still a noob but I go down in flames laughing. :slight_smile:

Hey! I was flying around and saw the USS Glorious Dawn near Sol and thought, “how cool of a name! I wish I’d thought of that!”

I’ll definitely be adding some of you folks tonight; Jolly of the USS San Jose.

Nice! all the way up to the Defiant class! I just got a tactical alt up to tier 2 today. I have the weapons set up kind of weird on the escort so it’s taking a little getting used to. On aft I stuck a quantum mine launcher, so on the front I replaced the beam array with a turret so I still had at least one weapon with 360° coverage.

You know, I think I caiught glimpse of both ships: the USS Glorius Dawn and USS Damecles. I, too, smiled at the Glorius Dawn. I almost sent a /tell about the USS Damecles being a mispelling of Damocles, but I figured maybe it was meant to be more alien.

Yep that was me and my lousy typing. Now just made Lt cmd. New ship uss Mars. Oh am I liking it. So nice to have a ship that doesn’t turn like a targ,:smiley:
