I was listening to podcast 88 and when Sean started talking about cosplay, I realized I might be a little bit guilty of such an activity. Furthermore I think this really qualifies as a geek hobby. Anyone else do this sort of thing? Post your pics!

So here is me dressed up as one of my favorite heros, Big Boss (Snake) from the video game series Metal Gear Solid, as well as one of my good friends dressed up as an enemy soldier from the games as well. Those of you who saw my custom action figures probably wont be surprised to see me dressed like this.

Not sure if this qualifies. While down in Disney for our honeymoon, my new bride saw the sign and said, “Let’s do it.”

The only other time I’ve dressed up was during Episode II: AOTC. I borrowed somebody’s Vader helmet and custom made a t-shirt that said, “Who’s your daddy?” Paid for the ticket, bought popcorn, and got meself seated with the helmet on.

Ok I’ll admit, that does look weird lol. We were trying to recreate some poses from the game, and in this case one where you play online and one of the weapons is a porn magazine that forces you to squat down and take a look at it if you get within a certain range of it. Then your enemy is free to waltz up behind you and do whatever horrible thing he wants to.
