I actually dig most Starfleet ships, notable exceptions being the Intrepid Class (Voyager) and Ambassador Class (Enterprise C). Defiant is awesome. Enterprise E is kick ass. Enterprise D is kida goofy, but satisfying in it’s own way. B was just a souped-up Excelsior, but the A (visually almost identical to the refit original) has a simple elegance not likely to be matched. I love seeing the original Enterprise all fancy and rendered in the remastered Original Series episodes. Galactica, Serenity, Millenium Falcon, all are suprememly cool, not to mention vipers and raptors and Cylon raiders. Baseships, I dunno, I don’t hate it but the design vexes me, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a reason for the odd shape. What I really dug from Star Wars, outside of the Falcon, were Dooku’s solar sail ship, and Obi Wan’s weird circle ship with the detachable lander. Does anybody know of official names for these two ships?
My top 5 - Romulan Warbird (TNG), Enterprise-E, Pegasus(BSG, not TNG), Enterprise-D, Centauri Destroyer from B5
So many awesome ships, I need to break it into categories:
Fighters: X-Wing (Star Wars) and Starfury (Babylon 5). X-wing has movable wings, but the Starfury is an acutal design that works in space.
Enterprises: Enterprise-D. This ship always seems less popular then the other enterprises, but I love it. It does kind of look like a luxury hotel on the inside, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
Other Big Ships: Probably the Galactica, but any big ship that can launch and have combat landings of smaller ships is pretty much the most awesome thing that I can imagine.

I gotta say that I would rather be on Serenity than any other–they just have too much fun! Of course the ship I would least like to see coming at me is the Vorlog Planet Killers from B5.

Yep that Excalibur was one cool ship. Would love to see what today’s CGI would do with it.
Now the Andromeda from Yamato was great it just came up against the Death Star of that universe.
