Cool Hand Luke Frak Party

This whole scene with Dragline reminds me of the scene with Red in Shawshank. Red says he’s been in prison too long to go out into the real world. I wondered about that. When you have someone telling you when to eat, sleep, pee. You need someone to tell you what to do after a while.

Oh yeah it’s talking to God time.

OMGs. That scene where they “split up” was hilarious.

I hate watching films with people that have seen it already. Stupid morons.

Not many actors could pull off a soliloquy like this.

You can’t keep a free spirit caged.

Yeah, hate them.

Why do I foresee a hail of gunfire in a few minutes…?

Did you see the man with no eyes was blind without his sunglasses?

OK, maybe not so much a “hail”…

I think it’s supposed to mean blind justice. Maybe I should read up on the symbolism of this film.

There’s the cross again…in the ripped photo.

So…whaddya think Poofy? Did you enjoy the film?

Let’s here it for Joy Harmon!! Oh my Lucille!!

Wait. What?

When Dragline attacks the man with no eyes, he knocks off the mirrored sunglasses. Afterward, the man with no eyes staggers away covering his eyes. It’s quick, you might’ve…well you did miss it.

Pretty cool. Can’t believe I’ve never seen it before. This is the kind of movie I always used to watch with my dad when I was a kid. It’s hard to imagine that we missed this one.

In 1967, that must have been pretty scandalous.

Well, I did notice that, but I didn’t really put it together that he was blind. I just backtracked and watched the scene again. I can definitely see that aspect of it, but it’s pretty subtle if that’s what they intended.

That’s nothing…well it was something amazing…anyway…you should see Faye Dunaway in opening sequence of ‘Bonnie and Clyde’

Yeah I agree but I think there were little things like that throughout the film. I’ll just have to read up on it. Y’know fix the barn doors after the horses come home.

That’s a movie I have seen, but not since I was but a wee tyke…

I need to catch up on some of these oldies but goodies.
