Best Buy, of all places. The list price wasn’t much lower than $200 but since I was buying a lap top and got a bag and mouse I went ahead and got the disc drive and got 10% off. Now I’m trying to figure out how to move files from our desktop to my lap top using the thing. Hmmm…

I know it’s really late but I just aquired the Lord of The Rings extended trilogy Dvds. I saw them for £17 (about US$34) and couldn’t resist. So worth it, the making ofs (those I’ve seen so far) are as good as the movies. Definately some cool craaaaaaaaaaaap in my book.
I also aquired my first Philip K. Dick novel, “The Man in the High Castle”. I would call it my first sci-fi novel but it hasn’t really gotten very sci-fi…as of what I’ve read…but it is fantastically written and so worth the purchase. Hopefully, this will lead me to delve deeper into sci-fi fiction.

I have highly enjoyed Philip K. Dick’s writing. It doesn’t always have the same sci-fi feel as other of his contemporaries but is still good.
