I am amazed i didn’t see anyone come to the conclusion that Chuck’s flashes has to do with Sarah being nice to him.
The problem with his ability is his broken heart. I bet he was doing perfectly well in Prague before he said no to Sarah. And after that he has a hard time to flash because all he can think about is his feeling for her.
If you watch the first two episodes, everytime Chuck gets to say how he feels, or Sarah says something nice to him, he flashes immediately.
It seems inconsistent to me. Like he couldn’t flash the zip line the first time because he was in a training exercise. But, he did the next time with his (and Sarah’s, so maybe there’s something there) life in real danger. I don’t remember her being nice just before hand. She could have been.
Then, there was the flash with his former boss. Chuck felt the stimulus from him poking (IYKWIM) and flashed. That’s why I said he was like the Incredible Hulk.
The zip line flash came because Chuck is still high on her “after prague I worked with the best spies and none of them are as good as you” suger. I think when Sarah’s not there for him, or treating him coldly, that’s when his flashes becomes unpredictable. Because his feelings get in the way.
The general is right about his emotion interfering with his flash, but her solution is wrong. Instead of asking Chuck to bottle it all up, the right way is to let him get whatever occupying his mind out.
I think that’s where they are going with this. and i want him and sarah together. But i guess that will come after KK’s episode…
as much as i love KK as sweet and beautiful as KK is… i just want to see chuck with sarah, darn it!
