Charlie Jade

Charlie Jade is new to U.S.A. and just started. This could bring discussions with everyone starting fresh. Ok, the lucky people who come from where it has been shown would have a bit of a head start, but they could just help the rest of us. It is complicated enough to keep us all thinking hard on what it all means, just like BSG.

I have to say, Slice of SciFi has me intrigued about this show. So, seconded.

Is there any way of getting hold of DVDs from CHUM? The show was a co-production of the South African Industrial Development Corporation and CHUM Television in Canada. CHUM is now a part of either Rogers or CTV, if memory serves.

That is beyond my knowledge. I am watching them the old fashioned way. I have them on my DVR.

I am up for this. I hadn’t heard of it before but I checked it out on Sciffy and it looks good. And with it starting this Friday we could all start it together…

I’m for Jade!

Count me in!

Charlie Jade has been moved to Tuesday at 3 a.m. on SCIFI. Get those recording devises out.

Yeah, I watched the first two episodes, and while I’ll admit it appears to start slow it definitely looks to have promise. Now it appears that Scifi is doing one of their wacky moves again by placing the show at 3 am on Tuesday. I guess the viewership for the first two airings weren’t that good. The annoying thing is that they barely publicized it and I only heard about it though the boards (then again maybe I am to blame for fast-forwarding through the commercials). Anyway, it seems silly to burry what may be a quality scifi show on late Monday nights. So it wasn’t an instant hit. Isn’t the fact that its on the SciFi Network an indication that it is probably a niche show that may need a little time to develop? I guess they’re planning on just putting it out to the 3 am pasture…

How can any show be judged on 2 shows. The show has to give you background of the world (or 3 worlds) and the characters. What happened to giving the show a chance. How are we going to get good SciFi shows if the network by that name will not give it to us.

That’s funny, I can’t find anything on Sci-Fi.com about Charlie Jade. I heard of the show, but I’d like to actually see it.

And that’s the saddest point of all.

It showed 2 times before Doctor Who and BSG. It was a great threesome. (Guys do not go there) Then the third week poof it is gone. A Doctor rerun. It now is at 3 a.m. (see old posts). So set your recording devises and hope that the station, that I will not name, runs them all. I do agree that it belong at 10 p.m. not 8 due to the content so it would be great in the BSG time slot until BSG comes back.

My answer did not post so I will try it again. Charlie Jade was on before Doctor Who and BSG for two weeks. Then poof Jade goes missing and we get two Doctor Who and no BSG. I do think Jade does not belong at 8 due to content and would be great in BSG time slot until it comes back. They put it on Tue. at 3 a.m.

Charlie is an independent detective who helps find missing people. He has visions that he does not understand and tries to get rid of. Charlie then starts to think there may be more to his visions than he is just crazy.

The verse Charlie lives in is run by big corporations. We know one is mixing with talking to the other verses.

I will say no more in hope that we see more of the show. It is a show you must watch like we do BSG. There is a great deal of clues and details that can be missed.

Wow it is like Jade. The verses seemed to mix and both the post now appear.

Found the link for Charlie Jade on SciFi.

So how many episodes are there?

They have shown 3 out of 20 episodes. I think the total is 20.

Science speculation, anything is possible. (quote from show 3)

Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap! Forgot to set DVR for 3 am this morning. Damn you Skiffy! Damn you to Hell!

Okay, I’m not that distraught, but it is annoying to have spent the time on the first 2 hours which most seem to be set-up. Any chance its re-broadcast later in the week? Maybe at an even more off-peak time?

I am sad to say that the station that I will not name has not made it that easy. Now podcasting may help. Charlie Jade Verse is on iTunes that is a commentary podcast (sorry GWC). I have not listened to it yet but it may be able to fill in the blanks. Jade and friend… OK I can not say. If needed I can fill you in by private message.

Here is a promo.

I wonder if we should start a forum on Charlie?
