Centurions went to the Stormtrooper Academy of Marksmanship

At the beginning of the 2nd season when Centurions boarded Galactica a mere 12 people died. That’s it. You would have thought it’d be more.

Then during the mutiny the official number of deaths is a staggering 87!

Nice. Humans still rule when it comes to killing humans.

With the cylon intrusion in S2, they probably gave as good as they got, since there probably were about a dozen Cent(a)urions in that Heavy Raider.

I’m guessing the numbers on either side of the munity were much greater than 87.

You do the math.

meh. rain on my parade

I like to think that SpinnyShip is right and Cylons have a very hard time actually hitting their targets, and instead often just miss, with their accuracy deteriorating around major characters.

Hahahahaha! :stuck_out_tongue: So true!
And it’s things like that which remind us that BSG is still not far off from network TV sometimes.

Remember back on New Caprica when they broke up that meeting between between the rebels near the creek. They totally missed their opening volley. Yeah, they definitely went to the Stormtrooper Academy of Marksmanship. Also, they appear to have done some coursework over at Starfleet Villian Marksmanship Academy as well. Since they only ever really kill secondary characters or those that suddenly appear out of nowhere on the show.

I would probably have a hard time focusing on a target if I had to rely on one eye that moves back and forth across my face.

It’s the only way to compensate for lack of depth perception.

Well the centurions were dumbed down…
Its not their fault

Remember on the show A-Team where they would shoot at something 20 feet away with a machinegun and miss yet could hit a tire on a car 50 yards away while it was swerving in and out of traffic at 75 mph? Maybe the cyclons learned to shoot from the A-Team?

Don’t really think the A-Team was out to kill people. Kinda like GI Joe and Cobra.

Nice! Welcome to the forum Tareth.

But, the cyclons love it when a plan comes together

There are quite a few differences in the situation.

  1. Whenever anyone died on either side during the mutiny, it dropped the count. Only Colonial deaths dropped the count during Valley of Darkness.

  2. The casualties weren’t limited to Galactica during the mutiny (Quorum turkey shoot)

  3. Death sentences following the mutiny but before the next episode
