Centurian god

Ok so hear me out on this one . . .

The “one true god” idea originated with the centurians. And a typical interpretation of god is the “creator.” Who is the “creator” of the metal cylons? Well if you have heard of the new Ron Moore project “Caprica” you know that is the plot of that spinoff/prequel.

They keep telling us that the “one true god” is all about love. The creation of the cylons apparently came about due to the love (and loss) of the 2 main characters on that show. One of these men is Daniel the scientist (and we have already established a Daniel here. That option is too easy.)

The other man is Joseph Adama! If he was the one who plays the pivotal role in creating the cylons then he would be the cylon god. (This would also mean our Bill Adama is “the son of god.” That idea is so freaky that I wouldn’t put it past the writers.)

Call me crazy but is it any wilder than everyone hearing “All Along the Watchtower?”

Spoilery in a “I saw the preview advertisements” sort of way:
The idea of the “One True God” seems to predate the creation of the (Colonial) Cylons. Also, IIRC, Adama is in opposition to they guy (Graystone? Blanking) that creates them.
great theory. i really love it. however im not convinced that joseph adama or daniel greystone is really the one true god. but your theory there really outlined things for me, and i now realize that the idea of the one true god likely originated with the greystones (or maybe the adamas.) cause there was that promo clip for caprica – spoilers? – and i forget exactly who had the line. i think it was daniel greystone’s daughter… but i really don’t know. but someone brought up the idea of the one true god. so altho we may get the true origin of the 1 true god in bsg, i dont think we’ll find out the nature of this god until Caprica.

I think we are on the same page. I believe there will have to be some reveal at the end of this season. But I agree with you it is also a way to try to suck the audience into watching Caprica. Nice marketing on top of good story telling.

Well the next 3 episodes should provide a few more particles of information.
