Actually I think it was what Grandmadama said and Sam confirmed it later. Joe is a Caprican trapped in a Tauron’s body. Joe has a hard time with his Tauron roots. When Mom voiced what he was feeling, I think he was disgusted…or…maybe scared. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
