Hey, JUST started watching BSG on Netflix, finished up Season 1, loved it, and now wanna jump into Season 2, BUT…
came across both Season 2.0 and 2.5 available, which properly confused me. Is 2.0 just half a season, followed by the next batch after the contracts were all signed for extension for 2.5, or is one like a “Director’s Cut” vs. the other one.
Bottom line–which do I need to watch first in order to have proper continuity and maximum viewing experience? Neither description on Netflix clarified anything for me.

What Default Prophet said. 2.0 is the first half of Season 2 and 2.5 is the second half of the Season 2. There isn’t a Directors Cut out…that I know of.
This is becoming increasingly common as networks split seasons to stretch out a show (e.g., Eureka does the same thing.) The thing to look for is the decimal. “Season 2” would be an entire season, while “Season 2.0” would be the first half of a season. “Season 2.5” would be the second half.
I believe BSG split seasons 2 & 4.
think they split Season 3 also…but they sold the DVDs as one package
