BSG Miniseries (Surprise!) Frak Party @ 10:15 PM ET

But it’s not just the vipers entering the hanger deck… ships entering the harbor was always considered a sexual metaphor, for just about forever.

That was one version of events, yes.

I thought she was looking upward. The camera angle was weird, so it’s not really clear.

I actually think she was talking to no real person… I think she was just talking to the part of her program that just activated, or some kind of message she just received.

Maybe…

Unless, of course, you fly too high…

You ever do that with a speech? Stop in the middle and change what you were gonna say. Instead of what you prepared, you go with your heart.

I did that once at a church function. I wasn’t asked back to talk. Funny that.

That newscaster that got blown away totally looks like Solai!!

I’ve done that in college, when running for an office at student counsil. 2 sentences into my prepared speech, I decided to speak candidly from my heart.

I lost.

There’s no way that had the whole Final Five thing planned out back here.

He looks older, but he was wearing a Solai jacket. Rest in peace.

Lol…I did it at a union meeting and was elected president a week later…

That speech is instrumental to my Final Cylon Reveal, just as a slight hint. :stuck_out_tongue:

And yes, I have been working on it.

Hmm not good, not bad.

Or pieces, as is likely the case here.

Woohoo. I can’t…couldn’t…haven’t waited. Hehe

See… A lot of glass, a lot of shrapnel, but there’s no proof of actual structural collapse. There’s decent chance he survived that.

Obviously he did. I think it’s just a matter of exactly how that’s in question.

There a few people I would be highly disappointed if they are the Final cylon. Baltar is on top of that list.

You’ve obviously never had a 6 foot model on top of you. You can survive anything.

“It’s a gift shop now.”

I love that line.

Damn. Remember when watching this was just an experiment ? When you weren’t sure if you’d like it at all? Before GWC ?? And the huge discovery that Ron Moore had made something fantastic and wonderful, and how you were drawn in, and each week was exciting and filled with anticipation?

Backtracking from the fact that he in fact did survive, one can assume that Baltar’s house is located close enough to the blast ground zero to have the windows blown out in the shockwave, but just far enough away for the heat didn’t incinerate them. Depending on the yield of of the nuke, we can probably work out his distance from the blast site.

However, the interesting thing about Apollo is that he isn’t the typical macho lead that is seen in most sci-fi shows. In terms of legacy, I think sci-fi fans will remember him as more of a Princess Leia instead of Han Solo. In fact, his character seems to be built upon stereotypical female traits and cinematic techniques that are exclusively reserved for female leads.

Instead of displaying his barbaric male strength or post-Matrix fighting skills, Apollo is first shown in the series removing his helmet. The camera zooms onto Apollo as all the action on screen fades away and the camera focuses on his masculine beauty—chiseled face, light eyes, and delicate skin. From the second he is introduced, the audience has no choice but to objectify his beauty.

I think the author has a bit of a crush. :o
