BSG Auction & series finale

Greetings,

I stumbled upon this video on ew.com:

http://www.ew.com/ew/package/0,20245107_20245145,00.html?bcpid=4264664001&bclid=3794356001&bctid=8282966001

In it, Tricia Helfer, Michael Hogan & Michael Truco walk thru the BSG auction and share their thoughts on the series.

There are NO spoilers. The video is about five minutes long.

My question: didn’t the actors get to keep any props (i.e. dog tags)?

Here’s to only waiting a few more hours for new BSG.
Cheers everyone.

That’s a fun video

I don’t know about actors keeping stuff - but Michael Trucco’s thoughts on what to do with a Viper were hilarious!

Sounds fun–I’ll have to check that out when I’m not stuck in the library with no headphones.

In other fun auction news, it sounds like the upcoming eBay auction isn’t going to be the last. I guess there are going to be a mini-auction each week with props and costumes that relate to the previous week’s episode.

Also, neat to know: a portion of the proceeds are going to benefit United Way.

I’m registered for this weekend’s auction!! And I’ve got my eye on something!! And I’m sure it’ll go for twice what I can afford!! But I’m trying !!

I just placed a (to me) significant bid. Wish me luck you guys!!!

Good luck with the auction Top Gun. Keep us posted.

Very cool… thanks for sharing

Nope, but from what Tricia said, and the last Troof clue,
it looks like we get to find out who the FC is tonight!
If I was one of the actors, I would have at least kept my dogtags… frakin badass keepsake… btw, does anybody know if you can get those made somewhere?

Good luck, TG! If you get whatever it is, I hope you’ll post some pics so we can drool over it and you can gloat a bit!

Bill Adama’s desk. Bill Adama’s painting of the First Cylon War. If I pull the kids out of college…

You still couldn’t afford it.

Maybe Figurski’s undies…

Unfortunately they stopped giving them metal dog tags on the show after a while because of sound issues.

There are several places that make them btw. Quantum Mechanix makes some “touristy” sets.

These are more like the real deal.

As to keeping props and what-not, Aaron Douglas was wearing his deckhand costume at Dragon Con so one can assume he got to keep that.

According to the guy that ran the auction yesterday, Tricia Helfer was given the Head-Six Red Dress after the wrap of the series but decided to have it auctioned off and the proceeds given to several animal-centered charities.
It went for $13,000. That was the highlight of the auction.

On podcast 145, Luciana Carro mentioned that she kept her original dogtags.

Anybody know how much Adama’s desk and painting of the First Cylon War went for? Those are the items I briefly considered pulling my children out of college to have some cash to bid on.

I’m guessing they had backups, too. Did Kat tags show up in the auction?

Adama’s desk with accessories : $5,500.

The painting : $17,500.00

I had a ball bidding on a Viper nameplate. I had the lead for the first nanosecond, and was quickly outbid. The XO managed to wrestle my finger away from the BID button.

I think she’s a Cylon.

All the sale prices are here !

I hope that some of these items end up in a science fiction museum or at least in a traveling display.

I managed to get a little something. Although nothing at that auction was “little”. All saturday I was good… not gonna do it, not gonna do it. But towards the end of day sunday my evil half took over…

I figure it was worth it, it includes plastic clips

I won one of the eBay auctions - an oil can! Something has to keep the big bird lubricated.

At $58, I think it was the cheapest item to sell in that round of eBay auctions. There’s supposed to be more posted to eBay on Friday!

Congrats! Be sure to post photos when you get them!
