I am so glad we decided to do this rewatch. 5 years ago I was sad to see it go, but ready for a break. Now seems like the right time. I had forgotten some little things, and the early seasons I watched alone as it was pre-Bunny, pre-GWC. I am glad my friend Michelle introduced me to it (with the Farm no less), but also glad I got interested in it enough to seek out other folks to talk about it with and enjoy it with.
I can honestly say my life would not be as full, nor would have as many friends all over this country and the world, if it weren’t for BSG.

When I first saw this I was totally turned off by the baby neck breaking. Then they had the little girl waiting for her parents before the Cylon attack. They were really using the innocents heavy. It bothered me. I missed Star Trek and its idealism and vision. I missed adventure and mystery. I decided to give it one last shot. Once I watched ‘33’ I was hooked. This was about human frailty and its determination to survive. That was intriguing.
Then watch them on your own and we shall quiz you on them later!!!
I guess I better get to Indianapolis early on the Wednesday for Gen Con so I’m settled in and Netflixing those two episodes…
It’s cool re-watching through with you guys instead of annoying my Cali friend who hasn’t sat down with the DVDs I sent her when I bought the Blu-Ray’s grumble
Good thing those were the only two kids harmed when billions got vaporized. :rolleyes:
I caught a Biography type show about Roddenberry and RDM was on it too and he was talking about how frustrated he was with Trek and how he felt shackled by what was Roddenberry who had lost his vision of what the show was and I think a lot of that rage and frustration was unleashed in the mini-series here…
I’ll try, but I make no promises. Laptop is, of course, going with me, but I’ll mostly be off the grid, I think.
