My friend has been a fellow scifi buff for as long as I’ve known him (a very long time!). I remember seeing pix of his house full of memorabilia when he moved to N.C. He’s back in Cali now, and has made a place in his home for all things geek!
He’s just finished his Borg Alcove project and written about it at StarTrek.com!

Great quote from the piece, about how he restored his Borg alcove:
“The plasma dish was completely destroyed. Luckily, I’d bought a few spare plasma dishes when the movie came out, just in case I needed one on the off chance I ever got a real alcove. You think I am kidding, but I’m not.”
That’s the kind of awesome thing you just don’t hear/read unless you have an outlet like GWC. Like when JulieV called into the cast and said how she just happened to have a Sonic Screwdriver handy.
