But it’s a single act of gun violence in a country known for gun violence, from almost 50 years ago. Most Americans who weren’t alive at the time wouldn’t get the reference.

I like to think of it as an artifact of a time when even Hitler was young and idealistic. Who knows? If his art was appreciated at the time, a lot of suffering could have been prevented.
