Best XBox360 Headset?

Okay Hivemind, it’s been awhile since I’ve called upon your expertise. :smiley:

I’m looking for the best (and cheapest) XBox360 headset to go with. I have the XBox360 run-of-the-mill $20 model. As a matter of fact, I’ve had about 3 of them. They seem to break very easily. I’m pretty much refusing to buy another one at this point…

Is anyone familiar with other makes/models that might be a little sturdier and have good audio quality? I’ve considered the wireless XBox360 model but have heard they have very limited play time and take hours to recharge, which would probably be a deal breaker for my intended use which will be mostly video chat.

Actually, the connector at the bottom of the controller is a 2.5mm headphone jack commonly used with older cellphones (i.e. smaller than the iPhone jack) - any 2.5mm “phone” headset should theoretically work.

Here is a Xbox 360 PC Headset Adapter that you can connect and use any type of headset with the 3.5 mm jack. You probably already have a pair for Skyping which would work much better.
