I would say start with Avengers 1 that is more recent it. The book is only up to issue 5 and it takes place after the recent Siege event that went through most of the Marvel books. Avengers 1 is by Bendis and drawn by Romita jr. And New Avengers is the other book by Bendis that was relaunched and is now at issue 5 too.
