I chalenge you to pick out the BEST episode of TOS. Not your favorite ( unless they are one and the same). And tell a little bit about why.
I didn’t even try to do it as a poll.
For me the best episode is Where no Man has Gone Before.
in addition to haveing some great acting in the episode. It’s an episode where kirk has to plot the death of his best friend.
There are some excelent movie making crafsmanship in the episode.
Really one of the best.
For me it’s between
Season 1 -The City on the Edge of Forever
and
Season 2 -Mirror, Mirror
The one where they take Spock’s brain.
Nah. I’m just messin’ with ya.
‘City on the Edge of Forever’ is widely regarded as the BEST Star Trek:TOS episode. Runner-ups are ‘Mirror, Mirror’, ‘Space Seed’, "Balance of Terror’, ‘Amok Time’.
IMO, my favorite is ‘Shore Leave’.
Yeah, CotEoF is pretty much acknowledged as TOS’ high water mark.
Personally, I love Doomsday Machine the most.
