Helena Bonham Carter’s Bellatrix Lestrange vs. Scarlet Johansson’s Black Widow?
I know that Bellatrix is an awesome wizard, but Black Widow is humina humina win.
Black Widow is pretty badass with a lot of giggedy giggedy…
Bellatrix is unhinged and dangerous, but she’s never proven her ability to take out a major character. Even with her supernatural powers (magic and crazy-hotness), I vote for ScoJo’s Black Widow.
What are the parameters?
Are we talking who’s hotter? Y’all know how I roll. Why do I have to choose? Me likes the crazy. Me likes the fiery.
If it’s about abilities and a straight-up fight. This is Wizard vs. Warrior. I’d lean toward Wizard but Batman always makes a proper argument for Warrior.
Then there is personality. Bella is all-over-the-place and impulsive. Black Widow is calculating and prepared.
If they just happened to meet in an alley, I’d pick Bella. But if they had a scheduled match, Black Widow wins.
I need a visual.
Alright. That’s not helping. IBIMB.
Bella took out her cousin Sirius Black for one.
Even in a scheduled match…Black Widow (with her martial arts skills) wouldn’t get close enough to kick Bella’s ass. Bella (with her wand) does a quick apparition to another location then casts Avada Kedavra and Black Widow is toast.
Each action figure sold separately
Come on! You don’t think, given some time and research, you couldn’t come up with some sort of SHIELD giggle against magic spells. Magic is a form of energy, find some way to displace it.
Yeah. Yeah. I know. It’s Magic!! The Ysalamir was able to stop the Force, I don’t see any reason why you can’t stop Magic. Imagine if JKR’s next Harry Potter series is about Muggles vs. Wizards. There would have to be some kind of weapon for the Muggles to use in a story like that, otherwise it would be over pretty quick.
Even using something as a shield, Bella can jump around pretty fast…eventually Black Widow would move a bit too slow and lose.
I think if there hadn’t been other Wizards and Witches fighting against Voldemort…the Muggles would have been toast early on…but that would make for a very short story…not a series of novels.
I think she got lucky on that one.
Talos, to answer your question, it’s deathmatch, not a battle of hotness. In a battle of hotness, there are only winners.
I don’t care who wins, i just wants to watch…
Phaze
on the "See i didn’t make innapropriate sugestions there, like they deathmatch i a giant bowl of… I’ll stop now " ID
Ok, I’ll concede that. She killed Tonks and Dobby.
If you want Potter-verse vs Marvel-verse why not have a battle between real wizards from Harry Potter (instead of flunkies) fighting wizards from Marvel. Like say…
Doctor Strange or Scarlet Witch (though her powers are not real magic per say) which would be infinately more interesting.
Volomort vs Doc Strange would be pretty Epic!
PS: You all seem to have forgotten that Widow uses SHEILD technology. Tech always helps to balance against magic, especially since those who live in the Potter-verse who live almost exclusively in the magic realm seem competely ignorant about Muggle technology. Let alone Stark or SHEILD technology.
Ah, I’d forgotten about Tonks. I read the last book in an adrenaline haze. Tonks was full-on badass.
It was mostly a thinly veiled attempt to have hot girls going at it, but if you want to go Marvel vs. HP…
Wait, I’m off-topic already; what were we talking about?
well Rogue could take her powers and…
…good CROM, that is a hot pic of Rogue
Helena Bonham Carter’s Bellatrix Lestrange… why cause deep down she Marla from fight club with magic. and that attitude mixed with magic, thats a great big wall of badasssery for anyone to clime.
question though in the books do they go in depth about her character, she seems interesting and the movies kind of gloss over her some?
Personally I hate Rogue from the movies, Rogue from the comics however I always loved. Of course the same could be said of Gambit for that matter…
Uh… Sirius and Tonks? Oh, I tagged this for multiquote then read the rest of the posts. But Sirius was an emotional center of the series, even though Bella only stunned him in exactly the right position, it was a serious loss. And Tonks was wicked bad ass. I identified with her almost as much as Hermione.
I think Talos has it in terms of who would win an a knock-down drag-out in an alley versus who would win in a scheduled cage fight.
I want to see it, one way or another.
Tough, but I gotta go with Helena. If only because I’ve lusted after her longer.
I was disappointed they didn’t do more with Tonks.
