Bear McCreary Concert April 13th

I just bought my tickets today for this show.

April 13th at the Roxy in Hollywood. Anyone else out there planning on being there?

I’m trying but I don’t think I’ll be able to go. :frowning:

Why does Phoenix have to be so far away from LA?

Because if it were closer i could actually visit my family once in a while lol.

The worst part is im gonna be out there March 29th through April 6th. Just in time to miss BOTH the concert and the San Diego Meet-up. Stupid timing

The concert on the 13th sold out before I noticed that it even existed, fortunately they added a second concert on the 15th that I might actually make it to crosses fingers

I shall be there - got my set up some time ago

Sold out?? Really? SWEET!

Good show!

It was FRACKING AWESOME!!!

I loved the documentary he played… the part with Michael Hogan and Edward James Olmos was priceless…

A spooky song song by James Callis was AWESOME (although I was having a bit of a David Hasselhoff moment… )

I love Brendan’s band as well, he really knows how to preform…

The best was Paul Cartwright though… I didn’t know people could make a violin do that… He treated it like an electric guitar, and preformed like it was…

I will post some pics in a few minutes.

Holy Cats! (wriggles like cocker spaniel)

How long was the concert, Darth?

The hub and I are going to try to meetup with Lady D for dinner before the show- have any suggests?

Anyone else going to the show who’d like to meetup for dinner beforehand?

post here!

love, me! b!

The concert started at 8:30 or so, and BT4 took the stage about 9 or so. There was a 20 minute documentary in the middle of the set which was hilarious.

It finished up around 11:30 or so. We convinced him to do a encore by chanting “So Say We All” for a couple of minutes after they finished the original set. He didn’t plan an encore, but maybe he will for Tuesday’s show.

I would totally meetup for dinner with you guys… Just let me know a time and place. If you want to meet up near the Roxy, there are several restaurants but they can all get kind of expensive up there…

Sounds so cool!

What do you wanna eat? We like good food!

Was it standing only, or were there seats at the venue? I want to know what shoes to wear.

Really looking forward to it!

me! b!

It is standing only … there is a section of tables and chairs in the back, but it was a “private” party, with I think several BSG people, but I couldn’t get any confirmation on that.

So wear comfortable shoes… also we showed up about 2 hours early and waited which let us get right up on the stage… which was totally worth the wait.

There is a Saddleback Ranch down the street … that is all I can remember off the top of my head… LOL

The hub & I should be in town around 2-3 pm.
