This one is for the beaders out there, apparently you can bead and be a geek at the same time. Which helps me out a lot, as my Firefly project inspired by “Unification day” hasn’t left the starting gate yet.

I especially like “Transporter: Kirk and Spock Beaming-In, 2007-08, 2 beaded figures hanging in front of mirror panels installed in a corner to create the illusion of 6 figures beaming in, 100,000+ loose beads on mixed medium platform (104 x 72 x 72 inches).”

OMG! I love to bead jewelry but that is amazing. I have never seen beading & scifi combined. Crafty geeks! Who knew? What’s your idea for Firefly?

Aww SSA! Thanks for joining in on the beady-geek love. Can you believe that thing has 100K beads in it?? I love ST but frak, that’s a lot of beads.

For the Unification day piece, I’m thinking browncoats & purplebellys. A necklace or bracelet with one half smoky quartz and one half amethyst and purple and smoky topaz crystals interspersed in to the “opposing sides”. And a focal or drop that combines both, sort of weirdly intermingled. It’s weirdly intermingled in my imagination any way.

Pike, I’ll keep your upside down bodies in mind for the “bushwacked” piece. I think I’ll definatly break out the shrinky dinks for that one. :smiley:
