I trying to think of a way to explain to some Potter-heads the characters of Galactica by placing them into the potter-verse houses o’Hogwarts when I came to a shocking conclusion:
They’re all Slytherin. (Colonial and Cylon)
OK-except for a very very few exceptions:
Ravenclaw: Billy, Gaeta, Cottle, Elosha
Gryffindor: Athena, Helo, Kat, Starbuck, Anders
Hufflepuffs: The Adamas, Tigh, everyone on the flight crew, Dee
Disagreements? Confusion? Upset that half the Ravenclaws are dead? (I AM!)
I don’t quite get how you divided them, then again the last time I read any HP books was probably 2 years ago.
Tigh may be loyal, but for some reason, I just can’t picture One-Eyed Tigh as a Hufflepuff… I think I might have sorted pre-NC Tigh into Hufflepuff, but now I’d probably put him in Gryffindor.
oh come on, Bill Adama is the very definition of a Gryffindor, or at least a ravenclaw.
I feel sad for Hufflepuffs, theres a very good sketch by David Mitchell (my favorite comedian without a doubt) where he pretends to be the house master of Hufflepuff and essentially says “Welcome to hufflepuff, where you’re sent if you’re not brave like Gryffindor, smart like Ravenclaw or resourceful like Slytherin, essentially you’re mediocre at best and you have to live with that.”
I LOVE that. I always kind of pitied Hufflepuffs too. The only people from BSG that would be Hufflepuffs would be the Gemenese.
What I’m noticing is that everyone wants the military NOT to be hufflepuff, but NOONE has argued against that Laura “airlock” Roslyn is not Sylverin. 
Maybe this can be the subject for a FAR future GWC:DtA.
Roslin is like Harry; she could be in Slytherin or Gryffindor, but she knew Baltar is Slytherin and didn’t want to be in the same house, so the Hat put her in Gryffindor.

The Adamas are Gryffindors, I agree. And Starbuck. Maybe most of the pilots.
Every Cylon is a Slytherin. All that racial purity mindset’s a dead giveaway.
How about the Final Fives? Tigh, The Chief, Tory and Anders? It feels like a toss up. Thoughts, anyone?
Whatever man - we Hufflepuffs are loyal and hard working. Just because our fearless leader Helga was kind and accepting of all students doesn’t mean we’re a bunch of duffers.
Baltar is a true Slytherin! I don’t think Roslyn is - she’s not in it for personal power, she really is all about the good of the people as a whole - just sometimes in a Grindelwald-esque way… for the greater good, you know…
