Battlestar Galactica "Collector's edition" I-pod: the "Galactica-Pod":

I sent this idea off to the corporate sector at Apple to see if they would entertain the following idea…
I would like to see a special edition :Battlestar Galactica"
ipod come out some time late this year or early next year.
The Galactica-Pod would be silver and have the Galactica logo BSG75 etched into it. The screen would allow for a strobing red light for the cylon eye effect (optional turn off on) just for the sake that it would be cool…
The ipod would come with the complete series pre-downloaded from i-tunes along with the mini-series, Razor and the Plan, all enhanced with Mr., Moore;s commentaries and plenty of room left over for the various podcasts as Watercooler, Quorum, Dradis, Roundtable etc…

It would probably sell for a hefty price but it would be a collector’s edition and would be cool item to have so we could all reference our complete battlestar collection wherever we wanted to…

The new Nano’s come in fancy colors so why not branch off into these types if Niche ipods and if it worked they could do one for Lost, Heroes and other TV series they sell on I-tunes.

Any thoughts??

Great idea. It’d fall in line with their various branded iPods (U2, et al.)

I give it a fair chance of actually coming to fruition.

If such a thing existed I would consider it when next I had to upgrade my iPod. However, by upgrade, I mean replace one that died a slow and painful death. I’m cheap. I hope you hear back- great idea!

That’s a really, really cool idea. Like Starbuccaneer I can only afford to replace mine when they actually die, but I would jump at the chance to get this one then. So, so cool!
