Great trailer, gives us some interesting stuff to speculate about. Only thing I’m not crazy about is the Bane mask. Hopefully will look better in the finished product.
so today I’m just happen to look at the website for IMAX theater, and I see that without warning tickets have already gone on sale for the midnight showing of the dark knight rises and it has already sold out. yes. tickets for a July movie went on sale in January and sold out in less than 4 days (last time I checked website was 4 days ago.) I. am mad. of course if I had managed to get tickets I would have been thrilled. but yea. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it was there. this post half belongs in the b*tch and moan thread but it was very dkr related. has anyone heard of movie tickets being sold so far in advance like this before?
Holy crap, sold out for July? Crazy. I’m looking forward to this.
Just watched it! YES! I this the kind of happy ending I always wanted for Bruce Wayne!
It’s kinda like at the end of Buffy - when she was finally free of her Slayer duties - and (I’m pretty sure I didn’t imagine this!) suggested to Willow to “let’s go buy shoes”.
Nolan did say this is the last Batman movie. He didn’t say anything about Robin! … Heheh ^_*
I can’t remember a movie that did such a masterful job of weaving its previous films into it as seamlessly and brilliantly as this one did…flashbacks, cut scenes…amazing storytelling and a damn near seamless modernization of the Knightfall storyline (which was the greatest Bat-Story ever told for what it’s worth)…was it better then the other 2? I don’t care…it was frankly PERFECT as it was
I went to a 6am showing. The cinema was packed, which for such an early show was surprising. I really enjoyed it. Although I did see a few things coming. Still, a great movie, very enjoyable.
I’m kind of expecting, unjustifiably I admit, an Azrael movie now, or maybe Nightwing… not so much a Robin. But then, who am I to say? Brilliant story weaving nonetheless!
A lot of THIS depends on how well the Nolan Superman reboot does…I wonder if DC might give him the “keys to the universe” if this one works out…
Actually they offered it to him but in a recent interview he said that was it for him no more DC franchise. He also said that it was the end for him for Gothamite : Asked if that meant he would be interested in taking charge of a future Catwoman movie, Nolan said: “For me, Gotham and these characters, I’m done. I’ve told our story and I’m moving on [but] I certainly think she deserves it – she’s incredible.”
DC is right now betting everything of Man of Steel to reboot their movie verse. Now let just hope that Snyder is doing a great job. ( and it as to be good, Superman is wearing the SuperBeard )
