Baltars Trial Doh! Moment

I was listening to the older podcasts (as I am one to do when its mid week and I need something to keep me awake during long study nights) and the podcasts dealing with Baltars trial came around. There was a discussion about why they chose a tribunal of ships captains instead of Baltars peers.

It dawned on me, the captains are probably the most impartial of all the people in the fleet. Think about it, most of the people left the fleet to go live on New Caprica, where you were shat on every day. But there was a good number of ships who were still in orbit, ships who needed captains, ships who jumped away before the entire New Caprica/Cylon ordeal. If they werent around for that, they wouldnt have an automatic bias against him.

It makes sense to me now.

Oh yeah!

I’ve just only realised yesterday (after re-watching Hand of God on syfy) that Starbuck wasn’t a major player in all the major battles in BSG - anyone else noticed that?

if by that you mean massive fleet stand off battles (exodus, eye of Jupiter, All along the watch tower, the final assault on Cylon Colony), then… sort of.

But she did plan the raid on the Cylon asteroid… I think that’s being a major player. But yeah, most of the timewhen she’s a major player, there aren’t basestars around.

Well, she’s always on the sidelines; not exactly in the crux in the heat of the main battle… like the escape from New Crapica

Um…She’s the CAG for the Pegasus vs the Basestars solo battle when Lee became CO of Pegasus, she was rockin in the Battle of Ragnar, and also the Battle at the Nebula. So…

Also battle of the Resurrection Ship was her plan and she executed it…

The solo battle, you meant Razor? If so, I thought she was on the Raptor…

Battle at the Nebula, starbuck just dropped in from… death… and the one thing that influenced the battle is Sam’s eyes.

Battle of Ragnar is the one when she was a big part in the dogfight with a basestar.

No I meant when uh what’s his name…Garner took command of the Pegasus and then was like “Lol raptors are just lost lemme go rescue them” And it’s a trap and then Lee takes command and Starbuck leaders the Vipers in defense and is like “We’re dry, we’re dry we’re down to throwing frakkin Rocks at them Lee” and stuff.

I seem to remember her saving an important ship in the Battle at the Neb, Colonial One no?
