Of all the loose ends tied up, we find out that Baltar willingly gave Caprica Six the Fleet’s new codes. He betrayed Humanity, even if he just thought he was involved in industrial espionage, and got away with it.
BTW, was the scene where he agreed to give her the codes the same spot where Roslyn remembered seeing them together during the trial?
I think so; there was a moment where we saw them from a distance, and I kept expecting the camera to pan around and show Laura standing there.
But in the same flashback scene, Baltar says to Six “the things a man does for love”. This struck me as extremely ironic, because I think he did love Caprica Six all along, and this whole holocaust was ignited in part due to… love.
Well in BSG we have seen alot of this. If not Baltar, look what Tyrol did. He let himself be played by Boomer for that last chance at love. If any two people have an idea how badly they screwed up for love it’s those two.
I would have forgiven Baltar all his misdeeds if he had said “I know how to farm” in that Aerilon accent.
I would have loved to hear him croak out the accent again as well.
I guess I always assumed that he had given them to her willingly - he just didn’t know what she was going to do with them…
I agree… I don’t think he would have done that had he ever dreamed they would be used in an act or acts or war against the Colonies.
Exactly for what I remember he only though it was some corporate theft. So pretty innocent. We have to remember that no one in a million years would have thought at that time Cylons could look like them and after 50 years of complete silence would infiltrate and destroy them.
Or maybe its Adama, when one of his fighter crossed the frontier in an old flashback during the cease fire. As machine they could have interpreted it as an act of war instead of a mistake.
What Baltar should have been tried and killed for is the nuke he gave damaged six who blown up like three ship close to new Caprica.
But the real lesson to remember with Baltar is that the world is unfair, deal with it 
Some people drive drunk without a permit for years while if you only speed up a little bit on the highway you get arrested for sure.
It’s a strange phenomenon but it exist.
