Babylon 5: 4x06 Into The Fire - 1/23 @ 11PM ET

not everything touched by the Shadows is gone Londo…

Lorien’s face is like a parent watching children fighting.

The Vorlons must love Renaissance fairs.

heh heh heh snort

You must embrace the Dark Side of the Force…oh wait

“It’s about ideology.”

Isn’t everything?

like parents arguing in front of kids

This whole sequence is an amazing piece of drama. It feels like a preachy exposition, but it plays out so well.

“Now get the hell outta our galaxy!!”

It’s a family drama.

“Who are YOU? What do YOU want?”
“You don’t know, do you?”

It’s really a unique solution in sci-fi. There is no right, no wrong. There is just trying to find your own way.

Will you come with us?

damn

“Did we just win?”

“Don’t jinx it.”

I remember when I first saw this. I heard so many complain about the resolution of the war. But if you remember Garibaldi’s comment from the last episode, “We’re out-classed” And they are! They can’t defeat them in a straight up fight. The Vorlons and Shadows would destroy them. I thot this was the best resolution.

And ultimately, when they decide to leave, the first question they have is “Will you go with us?” They came full circle from fighting parents to children, afraid to be alone. Truly amazing.

Lorien says, “This is yours now.”

Oh thanx. Could you clean up before you leave?
Like get rid of the Drakh first
As ridiculous as it sounds, it was really a war that could only be resolved by winning the hearts and minds of the people. Shockingly awesome.

Mom, Dad, I don’t want you telling me what to do anymore. I’m moving out.

Now I have to get a job, pay the rent and do this every day from now on…

that’d be a plus

I totally felt exactly like Sheridan. It really did seem like the magic was gone. Good to know that there’s still a bit of wonder to come in the remainder of the series, though.

oh yeah…

OK, I haz to get up early tomorrow for a long day at the Buy More. Good night and talk to all of you at the Buffy Frak Party.

P.S. Unfortunately, I’m scheduled to work Friday night, so I’m going to miss the live frak of Dollhouse. I’ll have to catch up the day after.
