Assassin's Creed

Anyone looking forward to it? Personally I love these type of period pieces and since the gameplay looks just awesome and the fact that you can literally just walk around the old cities that are available in the game is such a plus to me.

p.s. if this post didn’t make much since it was done after work at 3 in the morning.

After buying Ace Combat 6 and preordering Mass Effect, I cant afford any more games. This will probably be the next one I buy, after my college bills for next semester get paid off anyways.

I haven’t preorder it but I intend to buy it on the release date.

I’ve been looking forward to this game for a long time.
The amount of care for the details of the city are what first attracted me to the game. That and the fact that you can assassinate your targets in anyway you want.

I already foresee Altair costumes all over Comic-Con

So Miguel do you enjoy assassin’s creed?

Oh yeah, its great! I played it for about 7 hours straight.

I really recommend the game if you’re willing to put in a lot of time.

Heh, I’ve had it for a few days now and I’m getting pretty close to the end. It’s a really great game but it has a few flaws and nagging little oddities. There really isn’t anything to -do- while you walk around the cities. There’s also very little variation between objectives that lead to the big assassinations buuut when things are going down it’s really exciting.

The get-aways are especially fun, they’re hectic and fast and it helps that Altair is animated so well. Just watching him move through the level under your control is really really amazing. My biggest issue right now is that between Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, WoW ‘s 2.3 patch and Team Fortress 2 I can’t decide where to throw my time. Mass Effect has been incredible thus far (I’m about… 10 hours in or so) and it’s really hard to juggle this much raw awesome without freakin’ out. :frowning:

you have Mass Effect? it doesn’t release until next week

Do you get a lot of freedom in this game, or is it really tightly scripted?

There is some freedom in the way you got about killing your targets.

The first thing that struck me when I entered Damascus for the first time is “imagine a legend of zelda game that looked like this!”

I really wish there was more interaction with NPCs but I understand that an assassin wouldn’t go around talking to everyone in the city.

I have the game and I must say the thing that I seem to be spending tons of time on is just running around the cities or the kingdom to find the hidden flags or just to climb and run around cause to be honest its really fun and looks amazing.

A few stores sold it early. There was quite a stink about it  Assassin’s Creed got sold early too so it’s been a really fantastic month.

Yeah, the store Argos released Halo 3 a week early, I actually was instore about to pick it up when the message ‘bing bonged’ saying due a clerical error Halo 3 had been accidentally sold early but they’ll no longer be selling it.

ANIME VIDS

I just FINALLY picked up Assassin’s Creed last night… Even though I had to be in the office at 6 am this morning, I still stayed up till about 2 in the AM playing it… LOL

It was fraking amazing… The detail, the game play, the flexibility in playing is incredible.

One thing that I just LOVE is if you run around the village, or city, and jump on walls, and walk on fences, the people actually start to think you’re crazy and will talk about as you come by… Hilarious…

The only down side I have seen is that there is a TON of talking in the game… Especially in the beginning ( although i am not that far into it ) and in some cases where you are doing something over again, I haven’t been able to skip through the jibber jabber…

Overall, the game itself seems like a mixture of The Matrix and Splinter Cell, and I love it so far.

I am going to wait a couple of weeks for Mass Effect, and then buy a used copy at Game Stop, since too many games at once and I will not get any work done… LOL

Yea I did it wrong I played Mass Effect before I played Assassins. I was spoiled by a wonderful dialogue system. So the talking got on my nerves, even though it was for kind of a different reason.

Mass Effect, even more than assassins. If you like it, you will be hooked. Trust me, my essay for history class barely got finished. Also, I’m pretty sure somewhere in that essay I quoted things that were in Mass Effect. Thank god I had at least Thanksgiving Break. But, you won’t regret it, its a great game. Assassins is as well. I just have a feeling I’ll be remebering Mass Effect for longer.
