I just thought I would ask what everyone thought. I am a sucker for time show like this one and Journeyman more so but since that was cancelled I thought I would ask about this new one.
Ummm… Ihate watching a new show until I know it’s going to be picked up… although I made an exception for the Sarah Conner Chronicles (it was great)…
— Dismal the weary watcher
Ah, “The Firefly Effect”. A vicious circle. No one wants to watch until they’re sure that it will be picked up and therefore it doesn’t get the ratings and doesn’t get picked up. I’m not sure how that can be resolved
I’ve might look at the show, I read a little about it. It looks somewhat intersesting. Althought the last weird cop show I watched was Raines, and it got cancelled real quick. How dare that cancel Jeff Goldblum.
I’ve been watching it.
Great show…which means Fox is going to cancel it
I think its a alright show, I’ll watch it if nothing else is on. By the end, it just felt like another detective show.
Thanks for all the comments and yes I do agree Fox probably will cancel it because they do that with great shows! I wouldn’t mind a cancellation of this as much as Sarah conner Chronicles but it still bugs me that they cancel Almost everything good or bad at the end of their first season.
Caught a little bit of it waiting for the knuckle draggers at the tire shop to change two tires the other night…
Seemed ok…
But as others have said, I will never let Fox or any of those other TV exec frakkers break my heart again. I’ll wait until it has been on for a bit. Sorry, but that’s the way I do things now.
I’ve been watching it on hulu. So far, it’s enjoyable.
I’ve been watching it on hulu, too. I’m diggin it. I like the flashback scenes a lot, and how much John Amsterdam changes from era to era. And I love that he always tells the truth about his age and no one believes him.
I know I love that too - it’s refreshing to see an immortal character that isn’t constantly trying to hide what they are - he knows that people will never believe it so he just tells the truth.
I also love how he fathered like 60 kids or something - what a horndog.
