Anyone care to disagree?...

Genius, or child cruelty? you decide.

Myself, I think it’s fine. Really, how often are you FORCED to use your middle name?

LOL. That’s hilarious.

Fail? That’s full of win.

Aw. It’s actually kind of cute.

definitely full of win.

I give it a win as well…

I think its fine. Hope it doesn’t get his butt kicked in school

I’d say it’s 90% win. The 10% fail comes from the fact that his first name had to be Jed.

At least his last name isn’t Clampett.

I like his name! At least they didn’t name him “Starry” or something like that.

Bonus: Nobody is ever going to forget his name.

Did I read that right??? Is his name Jed I. Knight???

WTF!!! There is a kid who is going to be beat up in school!

it’s not as bad as the kid called Drew Peacock.

I dunno. Neal Gaiman turned out alright.

Perhaps but people need to be careful when naming there kids, some take it as a joke I think.

Now yes this is coming from a person who chose in 3rd grade to start using his middle name, but I know of a person who was named Dick Holder. (Dick being short for Richard) Hmm… apparently no one was paying much attention when they named him.

I think I’d like it better if the first name was Jedi vs. the Jed I. The latter seems like a joke, while the former is to play homage. Even without the I kids would call him Jedi Knight. I’m going to REALLY date myself here, but I used to get called Donny Osmond in grade school. Kids always find a way to make other kids lives hell.

This name is going to be a burden until he grows up enough to just laugh at it. I had an algebra teacher named Richard Dick, and he used “Dick” as his first name. So, yes, he was Dick squared.

I have a Christian official middle name, but my second middle name is Hypatia. There wasn’t a space on the birth certificate for the second name, but my parents had plenty of syllables to yell when I was supposed to appear before them immediately. Also, now I get to use that name at GWC.

Actually I think it’s a clever way to pay homage without being overt.

In school the kid is not going to go around telling people his name is " Jed I. Knight" He will simply be Jed to his friends. Secondly, most kids are not going to jump to that immediately anyway. Star Wars just simply is not on their radar as much as it is on ours. It is higher now with the Clone Wars show, but it is not as big as other shows for them.
