Second episode of the night, starting at 11:00PM 12/28/11.
Starting now…
I love this episode.
It show the start of several episode threads that lead to the season finally.
It’s just such a great commentary on Angel’s somewhat fluid morality.
It’s Nick Fury!
He can’t be, he’s white!
“Have you ever heard dying men screaming for their lives, Angel?”
“Of course he has.”
And how did 1940’s Nick Fury learn about Angel, and why did they forget about him afterward?
As a side note, that young navel officer looks like a tall Tom Cruise.
“Steve Rogers IS Captain America, you eightball.”
Spoilers!
“He’s like Steve Rogers, or Captain America.”
“Steve Rogers IS Captain America.”
“What?!?”
“You’re a Nazi?”
“What? Oh. No, I just ate one.”
"Never go to a free virgin blood party. It’s probably a trap.
“I was Rasputin’s lover!”
I’m guessing they were the roots of the Initiative, so they probably were at least aware of him. Presumably, he just got better at evading them after this.
How did he see pictures of what the Germans were doing? The war was almost over before anyone knew what was really going on.
By 1943, there were a lot of pictures of bombed cities and some of the stories of atrocities even if they were unverified were beginning to filter through to the allied side. Plus propaganda would add to the noise.
So why didn’t that just occur to Spike? He doesn’t need anyone to escape this sub. Vampires can’t drown. The pressure wouldn’t harm them. All they need to do is open a torpedo tube.
Spike’s chip was part of Project Paperclip?
