The woman that is running the shelter, for a while there I thought that it was woman that Buffy rescued when Buffy ran away to LA. But now, I don’t think so.
Blondes do the same to me too.

Anne was the name that Buffy used before and she gave the name to that other girl that she rescued, that’s why I thought that Anne found a purpose after Buffy rescued her.
Lyla looks great in the short skirt.

If you may recall, Buffy used the name “Anne” when she ran away to LA. This girl took on the name after Buffy saved her. Make that saved her again: she was one of the vampire wannabes that almost fed themselves to Spike and Dru.

Funky brass knuckles aren’t really all that helpful against vampires, methinks.
She grew up enough so that she doesn’t look exactly the same. Through me off a little.
And her character has matured accordingly, as this scene shows clearly.

Which is what make this a nice episode, seeing the character recover after what happened with her and Buffy, and become a better person. Like Angel, but without the superpowers and the driven-by-guilt do-goodyness.
