So, are we doing the 1992 Theatrical or 2003 “Assembly Cut” version? Might make a difference, as there’s more than a half hour difference in run time between the two…
Both are hack jobs, IMO.
The 2003 “Assembly Cut” is missing ADR and post-production work. Normally I watch the director’s cuts and love all the extra stuff. But this is different. The studio frakked with Fincher’s original and then frakked with it again. Fincher wanted nothing to do with the DVD.
If it were up to me, I’d say we watch the Theatrical. In the end, I wonder which version Chuck, Audra, and Sean are watching. That might tip the scales.
Well, I guess it doesn’t matter after all, since the copy I got from the library has both! So, whichever we wind up watching, I’ll have it!
this might have been addressed allready but arent the guys gonna do alien 4 -
