A startling detail you may have missed...

I’m mentioning this in its own thread because it’s an important clue that was revealed during “No Exit” that I’ve found no mention of in any of the other threads I’ve read… Understandable that it might have been missed given the massive amount of new information we have to digest. So here it is…

When Anders was talking about how they were warned about the coming holocaust on Earth, he says something along the lines of: “The messenger was someone different for all of us. For me it was a woman. For Tory it was a man. No one else could see them.”

Ummm… Head Six and Head Baltar, anyone? I think the best conclusion is that the beings who warned the final five of the coming holocaust are the same ones who have been appearing in the heads of Baltar, Caprica Six, and perhaps other characters (like the Leoben in Kara’s dreams). They claim to be messengers from God, so the “One True God” of the Cylons still has an important part to play, I think. Perhaps the Final Five are actually pawns who intended to break the cycle, but were in fact being used to bring it full circle!

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

First, welcome to the forums Chadster!

Second, nice catch! I kept replaying the episode yesterday and that part always caught my attention but I couldn’t put it together. I think you are definitely onto something here.

Hi there.
The line was discussed on one of the live chats but I can not remember if anyone thought of the head characters. You should bring it up on the podcast thread so all can see.

I heard that too. I am thinking that the head visions are part of the One True loving God plot line. I wonder if this ties in with the Lords of Kobol and the prophecy in the book of Pithia?

So the final five don’t know what is up with head-six…

warnings, yes? Of what? That the fleet isn’t going towards erf, maintaining the cycle? The opposite?

What about Anders saying that they chose to make a deal with the cylons because they thought it could break the cycle since they believed in the One God.

could the only way to stop the cycle be worship of the one true god? Could baltar be right? Cavil is continuing the cycle cause he is godless and most of the fleet still follows the lords of kobol or have to defined faith.

I just realized something. Remember way back in 4.0, in Six of One, when Baltar talks to Head Baltar. Well, the scene starts with Tory and Baltar talking and Head Baltar shows up during that conversation. After she leaves, the Baltars continue their conversation. Head Baltar tells Baltar that Tory’s “fragile” and should be “handled” with care.

Here’s the interesting part, according to Sam, Tory saw a Head character of her own back on Earth, a man. One wonders if Head Baltar has direct knowledge of this and not simply supernatural information.

Uhhh… Sam did not say they saw head characters, he said ‘no one else could see them.’

I think a much more likely and simple explanation is they saw other Cylon models and thought ‘there’s something awfully familiar about this’ and couldn’t figure it out.

Unfortunately, that’s about all we can say about Head Baltar and Head Six, that no one else can see them. After all this time, we’re still not to sure whether they’re imaginary or hallucinations or not.

I’m not sure I follow…

Nice one Chadster, I totally missed that bit.
