A post-BSG reality is coming soon.

I was just looking at my 20-ish BSG related bookmarks and wondering what is going to happen after March? Or after “The Plan” airs?

What is going to happen to all these blogs, forums and sites dedicated to our favorite show?

What’s going to happen to GWC for frak’s sake? The podcast? The forums?:eek:

What the heck am I going to do on Friday nights? Will I keep making brownies in a vain attempt to maintain an illusion of normalcy even though some stupid wrestling show will probably be on instead of BSG?

…and lastly, where will all of YOU go?

I’ll be here… probably yakking about my half-a$$ed theories about Caprica!

That my friend is the million dollar question. What happens Post BSG? Just like Harry Potter, Star Wars, B5, Farscape, Firefly, and all the others who have come and gone many will move along to the next great story. I will stick around and keep listening to the podcast as will many others but those who are here just to hear the story, they will leave. That is the way of things, all great things must come to an end. It will be sad but life moves on.

I have not been around here very long but i’ll stay. I’m sure there will always be something Sci-fi to talk about until something new comes a long. Caprica could help fill that void…But then again I don’t have a whole lot of faith in that show based on what I have seen/heard. Maybe I’m just shallow, but I like space battles and life threatening struggles. I don’t want to watch General Hospital in space, which is what Caprica is looking like.

Have heart - the previews I have seen are pretty strong. But, there will not be ships, and I like ships - a lot.

As far as I am aware, the Galactica Watercooler will become the Galactic Watercooler. Between the most recent episode of BSG I have not gotten to (been busy) and the Dollhouse premiere (been busy), the universe is wide open. I’ll still be here, I hope.

Much more is out there.

I’ve only been here for two weeks, but I really like what I’ve seen here and hope that it continues, whether it’s in the BSG-verse or just sci-fi in general. The podcast rocks, and the members of this forum are really great. I’ve been part of many forums and this one is just excellent.

Hey, us over at The Signal are still doing a podcast/forum for show that had half a season in 2002…I’m sure BSG places will survive just fine.

Has GWC considered a podcast or forum re-watch with something like an episode a week where you watch discuss it knowing what you know now, darawing links, unintentional or on purpose, etc.?

They did that between S3 and S4, so I doubt they’ll want to do it again. At least, not soon.

ah. i’m sure you’re right then.

I am sure that there is a plan. The cylons had one and I am sure that the triumvirate have a plan. I for one will be here no matter what. BSG, Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, Red Dwarf. . . . .whatever, there is plenty to talk about, and the people are top notch.

Caprica will take over the activitiy… Did you notice for “The Plan” that EJO’s real life wife has a part in it? I know she’s been in the series before, but she’s named on Wiki and I wonder if she has a larger role. Sadly a larger role from relative obscurity either means that you’re John Wilkes Booth or just another red-shirt who gets the dignity of lines before being shot out an airlock.

P.S. Have you seen this woman? She’s gorgeous. Kudos EJO.

I think that after BSG ends, I will download my memories into a half human-half machine copy laying in a tub of goo. Then I will continue to listen to the GWC podcasts as it’s pumped in thru my goo. I can listen 24/7 as the centuries pass. After about 2,000 years, someone will make a re-re-imagined BSG. Then I’ll come out and watch it all again, again, again, again…
