This is all true, it had sat in the back of my mind the whole DS9 run… “how the hell were they getting drinks at a bar run by a Ferengi if he wasn’t making money of the deal?”…but I just wanted to enjoy the show and didn’t much more past it…
This cast reminded me of the old days, more than just news and weekly happenings. I did a rewatch of DS9 a while back but didn’t analyse it the way you guys did in this episode. I’m going back over that episode again to catch the little things.
I know that after almost a decade the show has evolved, but every now & then episodes like this are welcomed. I think I listened to it 3 or 4 times.
