http://www.army.mil/article/67318/_Ironmanan__a_game_changer_on_battlefield/ is what I tweeted last week. It’s doooooooooope, so frakkin cool. Couple different pictures in this link

hmm trek rides huh … I got to go with this Jim.

Also … not bouncy Beckinsale is just wrong … who ever came up with that idea … is dead to me … DEAD!

Holy crap dude, do you play Star Fleet Battles!!? I mean I haven’t played it in years, but I put a lot of fun hours into that game.

(I guess I’m a total nerd… being more excited bout responding to your Klingon battleship pic link than about the hot chick pic  )

Now here’s a ship for ya. Kirk had to fly a star ship into its mouth to destroy it.

EDIT: Actually looks like that’s just a baby version of The Doomsday Machine

hey TFG … yeah I burned much of my misspent youth playing SFB ( Expansion packs, big rule binders, dad’s pool table filled with large hex grid laid out … good times … good times).

I like the “Mini Doomsday Machine” … and the “Planet Crusher” monicker as well.

Peace (through overloaded photon torpedoes).

Dear Sean,

Thank you very much for coining a phrase regarding our painful yet memorable microphone stand incident during the 2010 end of year podcast. I’ve always wanted a phrase named after something I did that everyone would remember with fondness and a smile on their face. “Shootered the mic” is now forever recorded on a GWC podcast thanks to the further unfortunate incident between Juan and Audra during this podcast. And yet I still feel a bit unsatisfied. Could it be because of the tragic loss of Dr Pepper to the Podcast room floor during the original incident? Could it be because the poor microphone stand needed to replaced shortly after? Could it even be because of the fat lip I had to endure for the next week or so?

No. None of that hits the target. (pun intended)

No, it’s probably due to the fact that it wasn’t me that hit your mic. It is that it was you that punched my mic stand. So I would respectfully submit a more appropriate phrase would rather be "Rev’ed The Mic Stand.” IYKWIM.

It goes without saying that this is my favorite Star Trek Vehicle:

The NCC-1701-A U.S.S. Enterprise

~Shooter Out

The Valdore- (Nemesis)

The Dauntless- (Voyager)

Favorite Starfleet Battles figure was of course the Winged Avenger. I used to play that game for hours… I even hosted a game where I opened a rift in space and the Starship Yamato appeared, the room went crazy! It was a very interesting battle, I needed three sheets of graph paper to represent the Yamato. Luckily no one figured out that the easiest way to take out the Yamato was to go for the engines, and so it escaped… The other time the room broke into laughter was when the Yamato started sending plumes of smoke into space… “SMOKE IN SPACE???” “Dude it happens in the show all the time…” LOL

Some really cool fan designs are ‘The Diligence’ and the ‘Volga Class Runabout’, both designed my Medjai. I think I spelled his name right… Google them. They are cool… As well as the fan-designed Insignia Class, though I do not remember who designed that one…

One of my favorites is the U.S.S. Relativity from VOY-Relativity:
The vessel was equipped with powerful sensors capable of scanning throughout spacetime, and a temporal transporter capable of beaming an individual to virtually any point in space and time.

Worst ship ever, Rogue Borg Ship from TNG-Descent:

I could have lived very well without ever knowing what a “Screaming Chewbacca” was. Thanks, Sean.

There was a starship troopers anime OVA in the 80s.

On a tangent-ally related topic, Wizkids just announced a Star Trek game that uses the Heroclix rules coming out early next year. Fixed starters with 4 ships (1 being the Enterprise) and fairly cheap boosters (1 ship, $3) with 20 other ships in the first set. (I will probably get a box because I am weak). Note this is different from the games they just put out.
Probably start something in Toys and Games when it comes out.

I’m not entirely sure, but I believe Sean was referring to the De Havilland Mosquito as the “plane made of plywood”.

De Havilland Mosquito <— linkage

A long and storied career for this aircraft. My favorite would probably be the Amien Prison raid code named: Operation Jericho.

Yessir, that is exactly what I was thinking of. Brainfart. LOVE that plane.

I also am a big fan of the Starship Troopers movie. I did not read the book before seeing it, but I loved the overt campiness of it. I still get a big kick out of it whenever I see it.
