TopGun,

I do believe Sean is intentionally trying to screw with us. For it was >>I<< that provided him with the Eff This Week link on Twitter. =)

heh, the one time I guessed and tried no to someone somebody and I fire wide. Ah well. Just goes to show why I couldn’t remember it in the first place. Thank you for your correction sir

From what I saw in the Mass Effect co-op announcement video, in co-op mode, no one has Sheppard. I’m guessing it’s everyone else “holding the line” on other worlds while Sheppard does whatever it is he’s doing in the main storyline. At least in that video, it said you could play other races.

I blinked a few times when I saw EngineeringGirl’s name in the podcast. I kept thinking “Hey! I know her!” It was nice to hear her voice, she is a lovely person. And once she’s had a few drinks, she’s even awesomer.

A call with Bkitty singin always makes my day

Ahhhh…Dueling. One of the reasons I’m fond of David Weber’s Honor Harrington series.

Audra,

I believe this is the story you were thinking of about the gamers solving a scientific puzzle:

Hey Haley…I have a PVC mini Marshmallow gun. :groucho:

When you guys were talking about Eve I wanted to be there SOOO bad. I never get to talk Eve with anyone.

Because every part needs a pooper: http://www.snopes.com/college/admin/cakesale.asp

I love that ‘refreshments and libations’ story…but when I first heard it (in 8th grade no less) it was Tea and Crumpets.

Sorry Sean (but you do tell a wicked tale just the same).

Hey, you guys played my call about STO! In hindsight it was a rambling mess, so thanks for not making fun of me. And my voice is really built for thread posts, not voice calls.

But anyway, the STO economy itself is going through iterations, and some of the draconian pricing has been moderated. It’s clear though that they’re trying to make “Very Rare” gear a little more rare than it currently is. It’s not going to be a big deal for casual players, because the game is easy enough that you can go through all the PvE content with gear you find between the cushions of your captain’s chair.

I love a good duel, but I didn’t like the duels in the Honor books. It felt like stretching way too hard toward the inspirational source material (the Horatio Hornblower books)–given the tech they have and system of government they have, I just don’t see honor duels being a likely part of their culture. Don’t get me wrong, I am still loving the books (I’m on the 7th). Just not so much the duels.

Crysis purchased on Sean’s recommendation!

What sort of tech duels were you hoping for?

I loved the sword fight in the 5th book and the Pavel Young 45 cal duel in the 4th book. I loved the fact that Pavel was a coward and was killed by both Honor and the Master of the Field.

I, also, shall be buying Crysis directly after the conclusion of my current semester.

Temptation must be avoided at all costs…

Dammit. Crysis is sucking my free time away. I’m avoiding family and friends and…and LOVING IT!
