The other part of being a geek is when your wife/bf is part geek as well, now my wife isn’t a girlie girl, and while she doesn’t like star trek, she has no problem going to watch sci fi movies with me in the cinema, she’s into her tech and will buy me comics,etc because she knows I’m into them. It also goes both ways in what she likes which do include gossip girl,etc, but she’s also into chuck, walking dead, firefly, dollhouse,etc…she’s awesome

I loved the Wootstock discussion. I’m hoping to go with a friend to a Minneapolis Wootstock next year. When I saw Paul and Storm and Jonathan Coulton a couple years back, Neil Gaiman and some of the MST3K guys showed up. I get the feeling that the extra guests JoCo and P&S were garnering at shows is what inspired the larger Wootstock thing. I know Adam Savage showed at Chicago shows, too.
