That’s going to be the name of my ABBA cover band.
You changed your avatar, didn’t even realize it was you posting lol
Personally I find the Directors cut a far better film, more action and violence (longer fight scenes). More background about Furyon, the story doesn’t ‘jump’ because of hasty edits…and better pacing. Plus you get all of the edited scenes in the extras section along with little mini journals explaining the Riddick Universe.
And if you buy the 3-pack you get the Dark Fury animated movie as an extra which is pretty cool…
Wow Sean, talking F***-wits being out there! You could pull apart there arguments in so many different ways, but why bother? Blind faith has a lot to answer for (I am all for faith and beleif, but when not it means you can be a d-bag).
Going to have to rewatch Tron again soon, as it has been many years since I last watched the film, and even then not all the way through. Daft Punk in Tron Legacy should be awesome, but I do have to wonder what Grendel (Dutch EBM band, most famous for Zombie Nation) would have been like?
Futurama fans, here is a must-listen interview with voice actor Billy West – Fry and a dozen others – on NPR’s Fresh Air.

It’s a link to the episode’s page, not the sound file. You can stream or download it, but the page also has text highlights to read.
With regard to Sean’s hate mail, it seems odd that someone who is that crazy religious would be listening to a sci fi podcast. Most of the sci-fi I’ve seen doesn’t really tow the line as far as traditional dogma.
The set design in CoR reminds me a lot of art deco. We have a lot of that architecture here in Tulsa, and I often think of the movie when I go somewhere downtown.
I must say I’m impressed. I’ve never quite thought of the specific criteria for a B movie versus A movie. Now, through your awesome research, I’ll be able to qualitfy my comments from now own. Thanks for looking into this further!

Really?? I didn’t recognize our Jamaican friend. Who was he?
I only picked up Christopher Heyerdahl whose soul got robbed by the Lord Marshall. And Aaron Douglas was in there also somewhere.
I guess after 16 Seasons worth of TV there isn’t anyone in Vancouver that hasn’t been in Stargate at some point.
It just stood out to me and it looks like at least 60% of the credited actors have been in Stargate.

What do I get if I find a pick of Juan as a Jaffa?
Find a pic of Juan as a Jaffa? You mean 'shop a pic…bwahahaha!
Doooo eeeeeet!
The only reason we didn’t see him in an episode is cause he was the only smart Jaffa. Juan was the tech Jaffa monitoring the engines and stuff. As soon as he saw SG-1 ring in he swiped a scout ship, loaded it with naquadah and set course for Ba’al’s hideout where he traded it for hookers and beers.
Still have an hour left to go in my 'cast listening for the week, but a couple of mini-thoughts!
The Daria-DVD-sadness reminds me of how I felt about the Quantum Leap DVDs. Loved the show when I was younger, but with all those 60s & 70s classics, I guess it would have cost a ridiculous amount to put out the episodes as originally aired. I’ve netflixed a disc or two, but they’re just not the same without the original music. Especially the scene where Al dances with his wife Beth to Georgia on My Mind. The yearning in the song makes the scene!
And Thor doesn’t necessarily have to be spandex to look like the comics. The version of Thor from the Ultimate Avengers line looks pretty sharp in some sort of black leather getup. Fur codpiece not necessary!
And the whole Daria (/WKRP/Fast Eddie/etc.) problem is why people resort to ‘other means.’
When did Thor have a leather codpiece anyway?
We don’t talk about that version, usually found on certain “special interest” channels…
The problem with Daria is that there aren’t any “other means.” It’s old enough that there are no digital copies, and as I mentioned on the cast, there rebroadcast on The N didn’t actually show all the episodes.
What they did to M.I.A. is beyond unforgivable. One of the greatest moments in television history is completely desecrated by the piss poor decision of someone who cares nothing for art, just how it looks in there bank account.
There are other means but they’re universally garbage quality
