We spend some time thinking about the best ways to offer tech support to your relatives and loved ones. Chuck shares his recent experiences shifting to digital note-taking, which leads into a discussion of digital task management. And we take some listener calls.
I tried using evernote for digital note-taking on two different occasions. The first time I stopped because I wasn’t taking a computer to most of my classes, and I didn’t want to have to deal with scanning and uploading.
This last time, I got reaalllyyy excited about it, but was incredibly disappointed that there is no way to make comments or highlight within pdf documents. To me, using Preview on a Mac is much better. I can download the powerpoints for my class, save them as a pdf, then I can take notes, highlight and make notes using Preview. If evernote got that ability, I would be willing to give it another shot.
