It’s more of a Eureka Seven clone to me.
This series version of cabbits (Tenchi) except they don’t transform into space ships (that I can remember).
I’m not sure when/if that’s explain. Same color as the thing she swallowed. I think it’s explosive residue (meaning she has a hole in her gut and will/should die soon).

This has more of a retro feel to it than Eureka Seven. And I like the fact that the enemy uses biological weapons, while others use a kind of steampunk armor…
