I don’t think the helmet’s adamantium. It’s the same metal as Cerebro, but I think it’s just something that Magneto and Xavier cooked up together.

He does try. I mean, Storm and Wagner both see the little girl, so they are under mind control as soon as they enter the chamber. It’s just that they have not been given that weird Stryker drug, so they don’t believe the little girl is real, even though they clearly see her.
