What the frak do you hope to see in this show?

If they were built as soldiers, one has to wonder for fighting against whom - other colonies?

Ahh youth. (Not very far fetched - think “Blade Runner”.) At my age, I’d probably just buy another old guy to complain about medical issues with.

(I think #11 would be incredibly great, which means that it has a snowballs’ chance in hell of happening.)

Something I have a fanboy desire to see is the first cylon war.
I freaking want to see it!!!
sighs

I agree my feelings about it are most likely what a lot of people would think.
Which is what I think Caprica is going to do, Make you face the dark desires you have within you.

I think the centurions were created becasue the colonies were at war with each other.

I can’t wait for the DVD.

I think you may just see the onset of the 1st war. But, hey look, the lead up to it is KEY.

I wish some of our fellow “bummed out” GWCers would cheer up. My hopes are high and realistic, I think, based on what I’ve seen and read. And the casting…

I want to see Joseph Adama break a pencil before he goes into court.

Nice. Good one !

I’d like to know how the Five fit in, if at all.

I think we will see why human cylons are avoided and (unfortunately, because I want to know all) tantailzing bits about the Lords of Kobol.

Just for the fun of it, it would be cool to see Head Six and Head Baltar, and there’s room for Starbuck 2.0 if you want to class her as a Lord. They could be used less frequently than in BSG to move the plot along–and more coherently.

Wait. You haven’t seen it all yet?

Fasten your belts of safety. It’s a ride.

I want to see Joseph Adama’s Dad… played by Edward james Olmos…

but I have found I don’t grasp the timeline very well.

I’ve tried to graph it to no avail.

Would the Five be the ones to end the war which was prior to the end of humanity as seen in BSG?

If so, were they on Caprica? The Plan seemed to imply it. It wasn’t clear to me.

I’m befuddled on this, but I know Avatar rocks!

Have you not seen the episode called “No Exit” (AKA “the info dump”) yet? Ellen seems to suggest that the FF showed up in the midst of First Cylon War and convinced the centurions to break off hostilities by offering them the key to biological hybridization or whatever “looking like people” technology is called. (Or was it in the following episode, "Deadlocked, that she did this?)

But there seemed to be more than one war as well as iteration of cylon and I wasn’t which came first. What you’re saying is that the Five might inhabit the later parts of Caprica, yes?

More than one war? I don’t know about that. All anyone seems to mention is the first and second cylon wars (and the second’s the one BSG is all about, and it doesn’t seem to be much of a war). There seems to have been a war on Earth (“the real Earth, before this one”–or, I suppose, Erf), which is what drove the FF towards the colonies and there seems to have been a conflict on Kobol thousands of years before (which is how cylons ended up on Erf). Is that what you mean?

Yes, there have been other iterations of cylons. All of this has happened before and all that jazz…

That’s the line of history that matters, I guess. There, the FF match up with Caprica, right?
