And now the voiceover joke works…hehe
“How I Met Your Mother: Hitchcock”
Probably wouldn’t have worked nearly as well with Morgan Freeman there.
Mel Brooks would have done that.
This is really frakked up, on so many levels.
Ah, the '50s, when a man got what he wanted, even if it’s completely insane.
Isn’t it glorious? The suspense is amazing.
“Judy, please, it can’t matter to you!”
Yeah, why should someone care about giving up her own identity for that of a dead woman? It’s not like she’s a real person, possessing even the slightest spark of individuality.
Gotta say, the blatant sexism of these old movies is always a bit of a shock.
Well, it’s not like he made her dress up as an Orion slave girl. Yet.
OK, this is getting even more frakked up. If he doesn’t know it’s her, it’s just plain creepy. And if he does…
Not to mention the portrayal of homosexuals. Have you ever seen ‘The Rope’ or next week’s film ‘North by Northwest’? One guess who the sociopaths are in those films.
Don’t look down, Johnnie!! Don’t look down!!
I’d never seen either. Frankly, that doesn’t surprise me as much. That kind of portrayal was fairly common even as recently as a decade ago.
I can hear the gasps in the 50s audience…even now.
Maybe it’s the lack of sleep I’ve had.
Holy craaaaap! :eek::eek::eek:
Awesome, no?
I got goosebumps. I’ve only had them maybe a handful of times. That was quite a shock. And then, to just end it right then and there? Masterful.
Nice touch with Sister Grim Reaper emerging from the shadows.
What a journey into madness. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I really did. Can’t believe I hadn’t watched this before.
Have you ever seen ‘Chinatown’? I think you’d like that as well.
