Mmh… Tron MMO…
Edit: I know that’s not what’s being portrayed there but it planted the idea in my mind and, well… it’d be interesting.
I am really looking forward to this movie. DH and I bought the original on DVD so we could get our 12 year old up to speed. LOL
I’ve read that they are going to release it on Blu-ray later this year. They are not going to change any of the special effects, just increase the colors to what they had originally envisioned but were unable to accomplish. I think maybe add a few deleted scenes. Can’t wait!

Sure… here’s something that might be interesting to think about:
Re-mastering the original Tron.
Think about it, most of the world was blue screened anyways, the models from Tron Legacy would still be available. Bringing the original Tron to Legacy standards wouldn’t be impossible. I’m pretty sure they’d be able to re-coup the cost and with some clever editing perhaps even get rid of some of the campiness. If Disney plans on giving this franchise a serious push for the future I think this step is a necessity.

Ever since my sister heard that Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack, she’s been as pumped for this movie as I am. Let’s just hope it can live up to our geeky expectations. 
They’ll probably do it, especially if the new one is a hit, but I think it’s unecessary. The movie didn’t suffer from its effects (unlike, say, The Last Starfighter.)

And I thought the hockey helmets looked bad…
Actually, I was thinking those helmets would be great for baseball pitchers. At least in the minor leagues, to test them out. There have been too many stories of young pitchers losing their career or worse to a line drive off the bat.
