Neelix!!!
Wait, this kid didn’t actually write ST X, did he?
Yeah, I was wondering about that since it was also titled “Nemesis”.
“I am on the Internet”, back when that actually meant something.
“pleh-THOR-uh”???
It still means something.
It means you’re not Amish.
Did you see the way he eyed the Deanna cutout.
Or a Luddite!
Bones is a sex symbol.
LOL! I want a junk report on those pictures of Brent and Denise!
OMG! Trekkie Kitteh!!! CUUUTE!!!
Poor kitty.
I need a Klingon sex manual.
Majel wanted to take the fans with her to the grave?
Wow, Iowa was awesome even before they started allowing same-sex marriage!
Having surgery on your ears is none invasive?
You know, my only real issue with people who dress up – or even live – as Star Trek characters is that everyone’s a big shot. Everyone makes themselves a captain or a commander. Nobody’s ever the waiter on Ten Forward or a nameless redshirt, are they?
But it seems like it must be the logical thing to do!
James Doohan was amazing. He was truly there for the fans. I love the life-saving story. I remember reading about that one in his book.
That woman had courage. She did what she did for what she believed in. The media explosion just shows the sensationalism of news coverage. Some of those articles were mean-spirited as well, labeling her a freak / weirdo.
I miss De.
Robert O’Reilly was great. That guy was a pretty good Klingon. He coulda did an episode.
Yeah. This movie got flack for showing the real eccentric fans.
Yeah. That’s a wild phenomenon. If you do a quick Shatner search on Google, you’ll find some horrible pictures. I’ve never met him in person. But my guess would be bad make-up job.
Does she wear the Klingon garb to school? I think that would be an issue. It’s possible the cleavage only comes out during dress-up time.
No. That’s Gabriel Köerner.
He is a visual effects artist and well-known Star Trek fan (“Trekkie”). Köerner appeared as a profilee in the 1997 documentary Trekkies and its 2003 sequel Trekkies 2, and went on to make guest appearances on The Drew Carey Show and as the “Star Trek Geek” on Beat the Geeks. As a VFX artist, he fulfilled his lifelong Star Trek dream by working on the series finale of Star Trek: Enterprise. He was a member of the teams that earned a Visual Effects Society Award nomination for Outstanding Models and Miniatures and an Emmy nomination for modeling work on the 2004 Sci Fi Channel remake of Battlestar Galactica. He also worked on the live-action film Speed Racer.
Yeah. We hear about that in Trekkies 2
What about the guy who dresses up as the wife of Col. Steven Ritchie (from TNG episode ‘The Royale’)? Talk about Vulcan obscure! I just thot he was dressing as Deanna Troi but then he explained it. Ugh!
When I first saw this film I thot, “I’m involved in a cult.” I mean this is for a lotta people their religion and idol worship. Take the guy who was willing to change his ears. Think about some zealous fanatic Klingons running around putting bat’leth’s into people. Sure. Sure. That is not the philosphy of Trek. But neither is it the philsophy of Islam to blow up things. You get a radical Trekker and I wonder what would emerge. Perhaps they’re only harmless cuz the technology isn’t there. Rue the day when Borg nanoprobes are invented!
I only flirted with the idea of joining, so I’m not sure about the mechanics, but doesn’t Starfleet (the fan club) have rank progression?
