You know we’ve all suspected this for a while - and yet I’m really wishing they weren’t going to go there. I kind of like the easy friendship/bond that Damon and Elena have had the last couple of episodes - and I’ll miss it whenever thing inevitable get awkward.
Oh I like her too - but I like Damon better and my concern for Elena’s well being is about 40% because I like her as a person and 60% because Damon cares about her.
“Your heart’s free of me. It’s easier this way.”
That’s almost touching.
Still, I liked her better when she was pure evil. 
“Don’t need any proof. That’s a DNA test for John and Elena and Maury Povich to deal with.” 
Elena’s got an uncle-father? Shouldn’t family trees have branches? 
I have a feeling that they’ll handle it well on this show. They’ve been very good with dealing with those kinds of issues so far.
Yeah, I liked her a lot more as Damon grew to like her.
