The Terminator Frak Party

Agreed. And I love how the woodland creatures make an apperance again in Imagination land. I think they torture Strawberry Shortcake or something:D

night boys

Night FT.

And killed a commando team. I think those are their bones on the bonfire in the picture.

LMAO the SNL digital short is hilarious tonight. Has a Sci-Fi theme

The dramatic Chipmunk?

Are you suggesting that that TG is going to kill me with his sponge bob PJs or Poofy’s Cartmen Pjs?

Nope Just jumping on the band wagon with the movie. Although I’ve been meaning to for years. Usally that I’ve been reading comics of late. I did the same for Sim City and V for Vendetta.

Yes, I’m going to sign off too I think…and Thot, this is very disturbing, but the Imaginationland Parts 1, 2, 3, DVD is sitting on top of my DVD player and that’s what I was planning on putting on now…but now you’ve scared me and I am hesitant…

oooh. Carrying a pillow while dragging a blanket. At first glance, I thought that smilie was riding a spermatozoon.

Goodnite all !! Good times. Good times.

Night John Boy

Topgun, Mapquest says I can be at your house in about an hour and 15 minutes. If we start watching South Park as soon as I arrive…let me see…yeah, no problem. We’ll be done by 4 am!!

Yuh !! The XO would totally go for that !!

Wouldn’t you have to be… uh, never mind. :stuck_out_tongue:

 And you’ve been doing anything else besides reading the greatest comic book of all time???

Don’t be. It’s staggeringly brilliant. Be ready with the pause button, because you’ll definitely want to get a good look at all of the great characters that appear in it. There’s another great frak party idea, BTW.

My XO is such a sound sleeper that, I swear to godz, if I did that for real and got back at 5 am, she’d never know I was gone.

I just got done watching The Terminator for the first time in about a half decade (first time since I watched it when I first bought the dvd).

I thought the movie really held up well, especially since it was sci-fi from 1984.

The Terminator looks a bit glossy and plasticy at times, but since the Terminators are supposed to be the first models after the rubber skinned models. Only part that doesn’t really stand up is the stop motion chase with the metal only Terminator, but once Reese blows off the Terminator’s lower half, the effects get a lot better, more suspenseful and scarier.

but wow, the 80’s hair and clothes REALLY dates the film! Especially with Ginger (Sarah’s roommate).

I’m off now to watch T2… I’ll be baaack. (sorry, it had to be done)

After rewatching T2, easily the most memorable and lasting part that I always think of from this film is the sound used for the Arnie’s loading of the grenade launcher, each time he puts in a grenade and closes the stock, it makes a great THUUUNK sound.

I also liked when Arnie is clearing the cops from outside of Cyberdyne, he assesses the damage he’s caused and he calculates “0.0 casualties”

It has been so long since I had seen this film that I forgot that Reese makes a short appearance in T2.

I think this movie holds up excellently, even 16 years later, but during Sarah’s last dream, during the nuke blast, the burning human flesh was the only effect that doesn’t hold up to the test of time.

Also, is it just me or do the 8 years between The Terminator and T2 REALLY do Linda Hamilton some good? She looks so much hotter throughout this film than in the original, it’s amazing what a difference ditching the 80’s hair and clothing does for a girl.

just remembered (no, actually a remembered a couple of days ago, but this is the first time I remembered while in proximity to my laptop): aren’t we watching Holy Grail on Friday?

I also remembered that a few days ago. So Holy Grail Friday and T2 Saturday, both at 10 ET?

If I remember correctly, Reese was cut out of the theatrical release. The first time I remember seeing his scenes were in a special edition dvd.

I totally agree with your other comments and T2 has been near the top of my top ten list since it came out. Also, it is amazing what living in the gym will do to make one hotter. Linda Hamilton worked her (SorryBarb) off to look like that.

again–works for me. watching a movie in my jammies with you guys beats many a thing I’ve been dragged to on a Friday night

Oh goody goody goody!! Time for me to do a happy dance.

Great ! I’ll be there both nites. Bringing in ShadowAce for the T2 rewatch on Saturday.
